Baysdale is nestled away in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, close by the village of Kildale. With easy walks on your doorstep, the coast close by and a wide variety of attractions located within easy travelling distance, we have something for everyone.

Stokesley 7 miles

The closest town to Baysdale is a bustling little market town, perfect for stocking up on supplies for your holidays. Independent traders and retailers make it unique, plus there are some quaint tea rooms to spend a few hours with a cake or two! Market day is on a Friday.

Northallerton 22 miles

Housing the smaller Betty’s Tea Shop and Lewis and Cooper’s, the historic market town of Northallerton is a MUST for foodies! A mix of national high street shops and individual retailers, it is a lovely place to visit. There is something for everyone especially children, who can run off energy at the large playground (behind Barker’s Department Store).

Whitby 24 miles

Can you climb the 199 steps?! Whitby is definitely one to visit when holidaying in North Yorkshire. Climb to the top of the cliff to the Abbey that inspired Bram Stocker’s Dracula, have fish and chips by the harbour while watching the boats come in, visit Fortunes smokery (you can’t miss it, just follow your nose!) for freshly smoked fish, treat yourself to some Whitby Jet or just have a stroll along the beach. Just a few of the highlights and delights that Whitby has to offer.

Guisborough 12.5 miles

A hidden gem. A busy high street for a spot of shopping, Guisborough Hall for afternoon tea or a spa session, and Guisborough Forest with branch top walkway, something for all the family.

Middlesbrough 14 miles

Packed with shops, bars, cinemas, pubs and clubs, it is the largest town in the Tees Valley and easily accessible by train from Kildale or car.

York 50 miles

Packed with history, York is a lovely place to spend the day. The National Railway Museum, Jorvik Centre, Museum Gardens, York Minster and the City Walls are just some of the attractions York has to offer.

Harrogate 52 miles

Famous for being the home of the original Betty’s Tea Rooms (the Fat Rascals are legendary) and the Turkish Baths, the Victorian Spa town of Harrogate is all about luxury and pampering. Great for shoppers, gardeners (it is not far from Harlow Carr Gardens) and tourists, for a lovely day out.
